Very sad for Madagascar. It is not surprising if this nasty disease spread fast in Madagascar considering the level of poverty, poor hygiene, lack of education, lack of resources, lack of doctors, and lack of experience from the government minister. They were too slow to react. Health is not the colonel’s priority. He is more interested in promoting many generals than paying those trainee doctors. Just look at the CV of the new health minister and her team and the lack of experience in managing pandemic is staggering. Let’s hope that Madagascar is not becoming a banned country for international travellers.
